Can't wait to start learning the ropes! Went with all Denon DJ gear because I could get a serious deal on it (and not with any other manufacturer)
DNS3700 Tables and an entry level DNX120 mixer.... DNHP1000 Headphones.... They arrive on Monday or Tuesday and then let the fun begin

Thx... I am employed by the company that owns the brand so opting for this gear was a no brainer in terms of bang for buck savings...
One issue I'm having now is that I need to find some scratch sounds in mp3 format... Limited options on Amazon as they mostly sell 5 second individual mp3's but charge the full price for them $0.99!, go figure... Also looking for some vocals I can use.... |

Try looking for CD singles. They will often come with both instrumental and acapella versions of a song, besides clean and album mixes, that can be used as both a breakbeat as well as samples to scratch.
Also, record stores often have a small section for battle records, which typically contain looped breakbeats and scratch samples. Perhaps some of these are available in digital format too? My favorites are Hee Haw Breaks, and some stuff from Dirt Style records. DJ Rectangle has a bunch out, as does Q-Bert. _________________
